No more lambs. It is sad-- and not actually irreversible-- but have decided not to breed the ewes again. Will keep the three ewes we have-- but not get a new ram. Still want to go up and see the new crop of spring lambs-- just to see how our ram Tippy did, but think we are out of the lamb business.
The wild hens are laying well, and got rid of most of the geese-- just five left.
Got the fruit trees pruned, and am getting the garden read to plant-- mid May is the time for most things-- cabbages can be planted now .
Will plant beans with everything this year-- they and tomatoes are our favorites. And squash of course! We think that with the yard and garden, there will be plenty to keep us busy.
